Job Title: Head of Operations

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Operations to join our team at Work Lyf Group Ltd.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and coordinating our UK and EU based teams in the repair, overhaul, and maintenance of locomotive fleets. This is a key role that requires strong leadership and coordination skills, as well as a deep understanding of the rail freight industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and coordinate production teams in the repair and overhaul of locomotives and engines, ensuring safe and reliable delivery following the Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery principles.
  • Coordinate the component overhaul function and strategic delivery of Full Service Provision maintenance contracts.
  • Develop and drive a high-performing team through clear communication, skill development, and a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Act as a key interface between production teams across the UK and Continental Europe, as well as the Customer Account Management Team, to ensure customers' expectations are met.
  • Develop and maintain a culture of professionalism and best practice for rolling stock maintenance and overhaul through the cycle of continuous improvement.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in a leadership role within the rail freight industry.
  • Strong understanding of the Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery principles.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.
  • Ability to develop and drive a high-performing team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
