Position Overview

The Law Society serves as the representative organization for solicitors across England and Wales.

This role presents an exceptional opportunity for a driven and skilled professional to become part of a dynamic and prominent media relations unit.

The media relations unit is dedicated to enhancing and safeguarding the Law Society's reputation, visibility, and influence among its target demographics through various channels, including broadcast, print, online, and social media, while also elevating the profile of our members.

This position is both exciting and diverse, allowing you to leverage your expertise and insights effectively.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess experience in media interactions, exhibit sound judgment, and have a keen sense for newsworthy stories. You will have successfully managed media relations for various initiatives, which includes crafting media messaging and participating in campaign evaluations.

Exceptional writing abilities and a creative mindset are essential, enabling you to distill complex legal topics and research into clear, engaging communications that resonate with the media.

You will be adept at establishing and nurturing productive relationships with a broad spectrum of stakeholders at all levels, capable of working efficiently under pressure, often with limited oversight and tight deadlines.
