Position Overview

The Law Society serves as the authoritative organization for solicitors in England and Wales.

This role presents an exceptional opportunity for a driven and skilled professional to become part of a dynamic and prominent media relations team.

The media relations team is dedicated to enhancing and safeguarding the Law Society's reputation, visibility, and influence among its target demographics through various channels, including broadcast, print, online, and social media, while also elevating the status of our members.

This position is both stimulating and diverse, allowing you to leverage your expertise and insights effectively.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess experience in media engagement, exhibit sound judgment, and have a keen instinct for identifying newsworthy stories. You will have successfully managed media relations for initiatives, which includes crafting media messages and participating in the assessment of campaign outcomes.

Exceptional writing abilities and a creative approach are essential, enabling you to distill complex legal concepts and research into clear, concise communications that resonate with the media.

You will have a proven track record of establishing and nurturing productive relationships with a diverse array of stakeholders at all levels, and be adept at working efficiently, often with limited oversight and under tight deadlines.
