About the Role

We are seeking experienced Lead Fire Safety Advisors who are dedicated to delivering the GOLD Standard in fire safety solutions within the realm of building safety. You will play a vital role in our expanding team of experts, assisting clients in fulfilling their obligations under the Building Safety Act 2022 and the Fire Safety Act 2021.

Your responsibilities will include a variety of fire safety consulting tasks, such as:

  1. Creating comprehensive building safety case reports.
  2. Providing building safety advisory services in collaboration with other qualified professionals.
  3. Developing Building Safety Management Systems, fire strategies, and fire management plans.
  4. Identifying and addressing gaps for clients.

This position offers a hybrid work model with minimal travel, ideal for candidates who prefer to work predominantly from home. Key Responsibilities Include
  1. Producing building safety case reports.
  2. Offering building safety advisory services in conjunction with other qualified individuals.
  3. Developing Building Safety Management Systems.
  4. Delivering the GOLD standard in fire safety solutions across various property types, including tall and high-risk buildings (commercial, residential, retail, and public).
  5. Conducting other risk-based assignments within your area of expertise.
  6. Applying relevant standards to comply with fire-related building regulations and safety standards.
  7. Employing a practical and systematic approach to resolving fire safety issues on sites.
  8. Utilizing user-friendly software solutions for report writing.
  9. Engaging in continuous professional development (CPD) as directed by the company, with Ark funding courses to enhance your qualifications and knowledge.
Experience and Qualifications
  1. Significant experience in Fire Safety Management and Design within the built environment.
  2. Experience conducting fire risk assessments in high-rise residential buildings.
  3. Proven track record in fire safety-related work at residential buildings, particularly those exceeding seven stories.
  4. Familiarity with the Construction Gateway process (desirable).
  5. Ability to recognize the significance of accurate and reliable documentation, including managing missing information and evaluating information management systems.
  6. Capability to provide guidance on high-level consulting projects and assignments as necessary.
  7. Understanding of the operational environment of buildings, including legal frameworks, responsibilities, due diligence, evidence management, verification, safety management, and information management.
  8. Knowledge of practical measures for fire prevention/protection and structural safety, with comfort in collaborating with structural safety professionals.
  9. Willingness and ability to work collaboratively with a diverse range of internal stakeholders to ensure optimal solutions for clients.
Qualifications and Memberships
  1. Membership in a relevant institution, such as the IFE or IFSM.
  2. Minimum Level 4 Fire Safety Diploma (or equivalent), such as CFPA-E Dip, etc.
Essential Skills
  1. Exceptional communication skills with strong interpersonal abilities and proficiency in report writing.
  2. Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
  3. Capacity to work collaboratively with a diverse range of internal stakeholders to ensure optimal client solutions.
  4. Strong understanding of current UK regulations and excellent report writing skills.
