Job Description

Job Title: Nursery Chef

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nursery Chef to join our team at Les Petites Etoiles. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and serving healthy, organic meals to our children and staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Menu Planning: Develop and implement a rotating menu that meets the dietary and cultural needs of our children and staff.
  • Culinary Operations: Prepare and cook meals for up to 42 children and 18 staff members, ensuring high standards of food safety and hygiene.
  • Inventory Management: Order and manage kitchen supplies, equipment, and ingredients.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with our nursery manager to ensure seamless kitchen operations and maintain a positive working environment.
  • Food Safety and Hygiene: Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to Food Standard Agency and Environmental Health guidelines.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Proven experience in a similar role, preparing meals for large groups of children and adults.
  • Certifications: Level 2 Food Hygiene certificate or above, and Food Allergen Awareness training.
  • Skills: Excellent culinary skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
