Nursery Educator

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Nursery Practitioner to join our team at a lovely setting in North London. Our nursery offers a warm and welcoming environment, with light and airy rooms that provide a wonderful space for children to explore and learn through play. The setting also boasts a garden with an educationally designed outdoor learning area, perfect for children to discover and grow.
As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a vital role in supporting the design and delivery of room activities, in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) principles. You will be part of a highly trained team that encourages children to engage in imaginative play and real-world experiences, helping them to grow and develop.
Our nursery offers a range of resources, including a computer suite, to introduce children to the digital world, as well as baking with our in-house chef. We also promote a 'grow your own' initiative, providing spaces in our garden for children to plant their own vegetables, herbs, plants, and flowers.
Responsibilities:- Provide stimulating experiences for children, tailored to their age and stage of development, and create a nurturing environment
- Build positive partnerships with parents and carers, with thorough handovers on daily collection and encourage their participation in the nursery
- Understand and implement the requirements of the EYFS statutory framework
- Regularly review and follow children's care plans for any medical needs or dietary requirements
- Observe, support, and extend children's development, updating their learning journals accurately
- Embrace a culture of continual improvement, with ongoing learning and upskilling
- Hold a full and relevant Level 3 childcare qualification
- Have experience of working within Early Years and knowledge of the EYFS framework and regulatory requirements
- Disclosure and Barring Service Certificate required
