Nursery Educator

This is a fantastic chance to become part of a dynamic nursery team in a great location, close to Bermondsey. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and education to children, ensuring their physical, emotional, and cognitive development. The nursery offers a spacious and airy setting, with separate rooms for different age groups and two gardens. The team is caring and experienced, and you will feel at home from your first day. The nursery has strong links to the local community, and the children enjoy a wide range of activities, including construction, gardening, science, arts, and cooking. The on-site chef prepares home-cooked meals and snacks from a nutritious menu. The site is easily accessible by public transport, and there are many local amenities nearby.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and implement engaging and stimulating activities that meet the needs of children at different stages of development
- Support the Room Leader in developing and implementing the curriculum
- Build positive relationships with colleagues, parents, and carers, using effective communication skills
- Contribute to maintaining high standards of care and education, adhering to company policies and procedures
- Mentor and support more junior members of the team to help them grow and develop their skills
- Hold a relevant and recognized childcare qualification at level 3 or above
- Have significant experience of working with children in a nursery setting
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues, parents, and carers
- Good organizational, record-keeping, and planning skills
- Able to work collaboratively as part of a team
