About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Voyage Care in Shotton, Flintshire. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life of the individuals we support, helping them to gain more independence in their daily lives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach new life skills to individuals, assisting with personal care and encouraging them to access their local communities.
  • Support individuals with autism, complex mental health needs, and challenging behaviors, using Positive Behaviour Support plans and reflective practice.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to provide a welcoming and friendly environment, ensuring no two days are the same.
  • Enhance the lives of the individuals we support by promoting their independence, confidence, and well-being.
Requirements
  • A full UK manual driving license is essential for this role.
  • Experience working with individuals with autism, complex mental health needs, and challenging behaviors.
  • Ability to work flexibly and be resilient in a dynamic environment.
  • Composed approach and ability to work with individuals who may exhibit challenging behaviors.
