Technical Manager

This is an exciting opportunity for a Technical professional with experience working with M&S to make a significant, positive contribution to a successful, growing business.
This is a highly important role that requires a strong relationship builder to lead the site's partnership with M&S, playing a key role in maintaining a positive relationship with one of the company's key customers.
Key Responsibilities- Be the principal point of contact for the M&S team, hosting and accompanying customers on visits to the company's sites and to supplier sites.
- Ensure business alignment with customer requirements and expectations on quality, food safety, legality, integrity, and human rights.
- Engage fully with customer account teams both internally and externally to formulate, communicate, and implement customer technical agendas in line with business objectives.
- Be instrumental in creating and maintaining technical policies in line with M&S policies and procedures.
- Ensure customers' specifications are accurate and up to date.
- Communicate all aspects of M&S technical policy to internal teams and suppliers.
- Use data to monitor and review performance.
- Work with developers, buyers, and others to formulate and deliver new product development (NPD) that enhances business performance.
- Provide support and cover for other members of the company's technical team, including the Head of Technical.
- M&S-facing experience (exceptional candidates with other major retailer experience may be considered).
