About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant in Restorative Dentistry to join our team at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. As a Consultant, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients, leading a team of dental professionals, and contributing to the development of our restorative dentistry services.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide clinical supervision to junior dental practitioners and contribute to the development of our restorative dentistry services.
  2. Lead a team of dental professionals and contribute to the development of our restorative dentistry services.
  3. Contribute to the audit and quality improvement programs, and participate in research and publications.
  4. Provide teaching and training to undergraduate and postgraduate students, and contribute to the development of our restorative dentistry services.
  5. Work collaboratively with other departments and teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A registerable medical qualification and Fellowship in Dental Surgery or Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery or equivalent.
  • Full registration with the United Kingdom General Dental Council (GDC).
  • On the GDC Specialist List in Restorative Dentistry or within six months of eligibility for inclusion.
  • Intercollegiate Specialty Fellowship Exit Examination in Restorative Dentistry or equivalent.
  • Possession of a Certificate of Accreditation or eligibility for a CCST in Restorative Dentistry.
  • Successful completion of an SAC approved five-year minimum training programme in Restorative Dentistry, or within six months of completion, or equivalent.
  • Experience in day-to-day organisation of Restorative services in a busy Teaching Hospital.
  • Familiarity with information technology and general computer skills.
