Senior Media Relations Manager

Blue Legal is seeking a highly skilled Senior Media Relations Manager to join our team. As a key member of our communications department, you will be responsible for managing media relations activities to deliver our overall media strategy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide strategic support to our Head of Communications to achieve our media relations goals.
  • Develop and implement media strategies for individual cases, including briefing clients and liaising with legal teams.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key journalists to secure media coverage.
  • Manage media interviews for our lawyers and provide support on crisis management issues.
  • Monitor media and social media for reactive opportunities and risks.
  • Support clients on media strategy, interviews, and preparing statements.
  • Liaise with our legal teams to ensure media opportunities are maximised and risks are identified.
  • Draft press releases and legal briefings and comments from spokespeople.
  • Collaborate with our press office and wider marketing team to maintain content quality.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working in a legal/professional services environment.
  • Experience working within public relations at a senior/management level (5+ years).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent project management/time management skills are essential.

Please note: We are looking for candidates with valid work experience in a Law Firm, Accountancy Firm, Management Consultancy, Property/Construction Firm, Financial Services Firm or a high profile relevant Association or Agency.
