About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Field Engineer to join our team at London Gatwick Airport. As a Field Engineer, you will play a key role in the successful delivery of complex projects across the airport, working closely with internal teams and contractors to ensure the successful completion of projects and being involved in the end-to-end process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage construction management resources assigned to you, helping to develop their skills, maintain quality standards and provide guidance and support.
  • Deliver regular site safety engagement on responsible projects, to ensure an emphasis on and compliance with Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) standards and promoting a positive HSE culture.
  • Review contractor CDM and quality and commissioning submittals for quality and compliance.
  • Inspect work within to ensure compliance with drawings and specifications.
  • Coordinate with electrical and mechanical engineering colleagues to ensure all works are installed to plan.
Requirements
  • Educated to Degree level or equivalent in Building Services, Electrical or Mechanical engineering.
  • Experience in on significant mechanical, electrical, plumbing and heating projects.
  • Understanding of the importance of controlling and managing the project close out and handover process.
  • Experience as a Senior Field Engineer or Section Engineer (airport experience is not essential) managing complex multi-year and £multi-million projects typically with a value of £15 million.
  • Understanding of handover and closeout of projects.
  • Experience in addressing HSE issues associated with construction.
  • Understanding and knowledge of quality management.
