HGV 2 Driver Job Opportunity

Ashton Recruitment is seeking multiple HGV 2 Drivers for our successful client based at Nutts Corner. We welcome applicants with a valid UK Category C Driving Licence (HGV 2) and a valid CPC & Digital Tachograph.

Job Details
  • Location: Nutts Corner
  • Duration: Temporary (Permanent positions may arise)
  • Rate of Pay: £13.19 to £14.00 per hour
  • Hours of Work: 10-hour shifts - Start times will vary between 12am and 5am

The ideal candidate will be flexible with start times and able to work all shifts required. Duties will include:

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensuring daily maintenance checks are conducted and any defects reported immediately
  • Checking all products and highlighting any damaged products or movements in transit immediately
  • Ensuring full compliance with the highway code and road safety legislation at all times
  • Unloading deliveries per customer instruction and checking contents against delivery manifest
  • Ensuring all deliveries are completed in a timely and safely manner
  • Ensuring all collections are properly checked before signing collection documentation
  • Assisting with general warehouse and yard housekeeping on an ongoing basis
  • Returning all failed deliveries/damages/returns promptly to the warehouse, ensuring all relevant paperwork is completed
  • Liaising with delivery helper when making deliveries
  • Adhering to all health and safety procedures as set out by the company

Essential Criteria:

  • Valid UK Category C Driving Licence (HGV 2)
  • Valid CPC & Digital Tachograph
