IT Service Desk Analyst Placement

Job Description:

This role will be based in London on a hybrid working arrangement, providing an opportunity to work with a global team and contribute to the delivery of IT services.

Our Support Functions deliver services and make recommendations about ways to enhance our workplace and the experience of working at our organization. Our IT team operates as a business partner, proposing ideas and innovative solutions that enable new organizational capabilities while supporting our colleagues with their IT-related incidents and requests.

Throughout your twelve-month placement, you will be provided with the opportunity to support, develop, and improve our Infrastructure systems, services, and processes. You will also have opportunities to travel to other sites across London and work on key projects for continuous improvement of computing and network technologies.

Duties:
  • Resolve and manage IT support requests, using technical knowledge and basic troubleshooting skills to remediate issues presented with hardware/software and other technology.
  • Act as the face of IT and work as part of the Global End User Services family, providing excellent customer service and support to colleagues.
  • Devise technical and creative solutions to user issues, preparing detailed notes and reports for users on resolving software and hardware issues.
  • Involvement in key projects for continuous improvement of computing and network technologies on site, identifying opportunities and enhancements to local processes.
  • Develop and manage internal IT communication tools, creating IT-related content with AV Studio Manager to enhance the end-user learning experience.
  • Manage hardware/software upgrades and other new technology deployments, ensuring all necessary training is completed and documented successfully.
  • Maintain detailed records of user issues with software and hardware, producing accompanying documentation for the implementation of new systems.
Requirements:
  • You will be looking to complete a 12-month student internship as part of your undergraduate degree, with a strong focus on customer service/satisfaction.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting and component hot-swapping IT hardware, supporting Microsoft Windows OS (Win10/Win11) and Apple iOS.
  • Proficient in collaborating with Microsoft Office 365 suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
