Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced professional to facilitate smooth transitions into rental properties by working closely with private landlords and tenants. The ideal candidate will provide ongoing support to families, particularly Afghan and Ukrainian refugees, to ensure successful tenancy continuation. This includes assisting with welfare benefits, rent payments, and tenant's rights. Additionally, the role involves carrying out property inspections to maintain council standards and monitoring rent payments to recover arrears.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in a customer-facing role, particularly in the housing sector.
  • Solid knowledge of housing laws, including the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017 and Landlord and Tenant Law.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills to effectively manage complex situations.
  • Able to assess tenant affordability, conduct property inspections, and provide support to vulnerable tenants facing tenancy challenges.
  • A valid driving license and access to a vehicle for work purposes is desirable.
