Reinsurance Placement Specialist

Aon is seeking a Reinsurance Placement Specialist to join our Financial Lines team in London. As a trusted advocate, we deliver local reach to the world's markets, an unparalleled investment in innovative analytics, including catastrophe management, actuarial and rating agency advisory.

The successful candidate will be involved in the end-to-end Reinsurance placement process, coordinating with various company functions and the management team. They will provide technical and administrative support for the Account Executive team in placing and servicing Facultative Reinsurance.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience in insurance and/or reinsurance brokerage, ideally in the Financial Lines sector, familiar in placing Crime, D&O and Cyber products on the Reinsurance market. They will possess excellent data analysis and processing skills, with attention to detail, and great communication and teamworking skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Involved in the end-to-end Reinsurance placement process, coordinating with various company functions and the management team
  • Provide technical and administrative support for the Account Executive team in placing and servicing Facultative Reinsurance
  • Process placements and liaise with offshore teams to ensure invoices are prepared and issued on time
  • Generate and review contractual documentation (including contract wordings, endorsements, invoices, and evidence of cover)
  • Resolve queries received from clients and reinsurers – liaise with colleagues within other departments and local offices as necessary
  • Collect and analyze data necessary for the preparation of market submissions and presentations

Requirements

  • Prior experience in insurance and/or reinsurance brokerage, ideally in the Financial Lines sector, familiar in placing Crime, D&O and Cyber products on the Reinsurance market
  • Excellent data analysis and processing skills, with attention to detail
  • Great communication and teamworking skills – Knowledge of other languages (Italian, Greek, Spanish) is going to be considered as a plus
  • Data analysis abilities
  • Ability to read a balance sheet, knowledge of the financial institutions sector
  • Good level of IT competency (good level in Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint and Word)
  • Experience of working in a client-facing environment
  • Customer orientation, result orientation and analytical skills
  • Ability to work in an environment where deadlines must be adhered to
