HSE Specialist Job Description

NOV Inc is seeking a highly skilled HSE Specialist to provide critical support to our operations in Aberdeen. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for implementing and managing HSE programs, maintaining existing systems and processes, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement HSE programs and processes to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Conduct risk assessments and job safety analyses to identify potential hazards and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Develop and deliver HSE training programs and matrices to ensure employees are equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills.
  • Conduct facility HSE audits and participate in workplace inspections to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Promote a culture of safety and encourage employees to report near-miss incidents and hazards.
  • Monitor and report on HSE key performance indicators and objectives.
Requirements:
  • NEBOSH General Certificate (minimum requirement).
  • Auditor/Lead Auditor qualification (preferably ISO 45001/ISO 14001).
  • Environmental qualification (IEMA preferred).
  • Demonstrated experience in effective HSE risk management and applying the hierarchy of controls.
  • Previous experience in the Energy sector and/or HSE is preferred.
  • Proficiency in IT applications such as MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
