HSE Specialist Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled HSE Specialist to join our team in Aberdeen. As an HSE Specialist, you will be responsible for providing HSE support across two of our existing service center facilities, based in Altens and Portlethen.

Key Responsibilities:
  • HSE Program Implementation: Develop and maintain HSE processes and programs in alignment with our global HSE Management System.
  • Risk Assessment and Regulatory Compliance: Conduct risk assessments and job safety analyses, and advise on HSE regulatory compliance and industry practices.
  • Training and Communication: Develop HSE training programs and matrices, lead HSE meetings, toolbox talks, and management reviews, and promote safe working practices.
  • Audits and Inspections: Conduct facility HSE audits, participate in workplace inspections, and act as the primary contact for internal and external HSE inspections.
  • Data Monitoring and Reporting: Collect and monitor data for ESG reporting, maintain emergency response plans, and schedule emergency drills. Report monthly on HSE key performance indicators and objectives.
  • Procedure Development: Document and develop facility-specific and field-specific Level III HSE procedures, business continuity plans, and maintain COSHH assessments and hazardous communication information.
  • Waste Management: Coordinate waste stream programs and disposal processes to maximize re-use and recycling opportunities.
  • Contractor Management: Manage contractor management protocols, permits, and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
Requirements:
  • NEBOSH General Certificate: Minimum requirement.
  • Demonstrated Experience: Effective HSE risk management and applying the hierarchy of controls.
