Oil and Gas Job Description

**Job Title:** HSE Specialist

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly skilled HSE Specialist to join our team in Aberdeen. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and managing new HSE programs, maintaining existing systems and processes, and working closely with facility management.

**Key Responsibilities:**

* Implement and maintain HSE processes and programs in alignment with the global HSE Management System
* Develop and review risk assessments and job safety analyses, and advise on HSE regulatory compliance and industry practices
* Develop HSE training programs and matrices, lead HSE meetings, toolbox talks, and management reviews, and promote safe working practices
* Conduct facility HSE audits, participate in workplace inspections, and act as the primary contact for internal and external HSE inspections
* Collect and monitor data for ESG reporting, maintain emergency response plans, and schedule emergency drills
* Document and develop facility-specific and field-specific Level III HSE procedures, business continuity plans, and maintain COSHH assessments and hazardous communication information
* Coordinate waste stream programs and disposal processes to maximize re-use and recycling opportunities
* Manage contractor management protocols, permits, and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures

**Requirements:**

* NEBOSH General Certificate (minimum requirement)
* Demonstrated experience in effective HSE risk management and applying the hierarchy of controls
* Previous experience in the Energy sector and/or HSE is preferred
* Proficiency in IT applications such as MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
