Location: Remote

Duration: 6 months (with likely 6 month extension)

Rate: up to £50/hr (Umbrella only)

Inside IR35

Must be able to attain SC Clearance

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled BIM Technical Specialist to join our team at Talent Solutions Staffing UK. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the implementation of Building Information Modelling (BIM) across various projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the application of Major Infrastructure Projects (MIP) BIM Standards to projects, following the Delivery Team BIM Execution Plan (BEP).
  • Provide BIM authoring support to projects, utilizing appropriate technology as prescribed in the Delivery Team BEP.
  • Author BIM models to support BIM maturity and supporting activities within design packages as defined in the project Responsibility Matrix.
  • Link BIM models from other task teams and access the latest models from the Common Data Environment (CDE).
  • Support Information Exchanges within the CDE solution.
  • Reference and apply BIM Production Methods and Procedures (PMP) workflows.
  • Collaborate with the Digital Library coordinator to ensure modelling objects reside in the project and the wider MIP Digital Library.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrate relevant knowledge and skills required in the process of BIM throughout the design and construction lifecycle.
  • Awareness of BIM naming conventions, status codes, and revisions.
  • Object naming standards BS 8541:*.
  • Awareness of COBIe, IFC, and Uniclass.
  • Competent user with a good understanding of Revit, Naviswork, AutoCAD, Inventor, Civils 3d.
  • Ability to create content in these platforms for the purposes of the project and the scope of this TORR.
  • Awareness of Solibri, Revizto, Synchro, Dynamo, NBS is a benefit.
