Assistant Restaurant Manager Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our team at The Newt in Somerset. As a key member of our front-of-house team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our 40-cover restaurant, providing exceptional guest experiences, and leading a team of nine to deliver impeccable service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the front-of-house team to deliver exceptional guest experiences
  • Support the Restaurant Manager with recruitment, training, and development of team members
  • Uphold high standards of service and presentation
  • Assist with rota and holiday planning, controlling labour costs and staffing levels
  • Support the Restaurant Manager with stock control and costs

Requirements:
  • At least 1 year's experience in a similar restaurant at team leader level or higher
  • Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to build relationships with guests
  • Confident when training and developing team members
  • Good understanding of computer skills
  • Fantastic attention to detail
