Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Energy Market Modelling Expert to join our successful Energy & Utilities practice at PA's Economics & Investment Strategy capability. As an Energy Market Modelling Expert, you will support our existing client base and contribute to our impressive growth strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of UK and/or European power and energy markets and systems.
  • Apply economic principles and the latest analytical methods to develop practical solutions for regulation and policy, business strategy, econometric forecasting, competition policy, and more.
  • Work with clients to understand their needs and develop tailored solutions to address their challenges.
  • Collaborate with our team of modellers, economists, and business case experts to provide clear answers about potential impact, benefits, and return on investment.

Requirements

  • Good understanding of UK and/or European power and energy markets and systems.
  • Strong experience in using PLEXOS and other statistical data analysis and data mining tools such as R, Python, Excel, etc.
  • Passion and ability for the practical application of energy economics.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Passion for team working.
  • Excellent written English.
