Accounts Payable Specialist

We are seeking a meticulous and efficient Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Finance Team in Darlington. This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, with 3 days per week in the office and 2 days from home.

Your Responsibilities
  • Ensure all supplier invoices are authorized according to company policy, accurately processed within SAGE X3, and recorded promptly.
  • Prepare bi-monthly payment runs for authorization.
  • Proactively chase and obtain missing invoices for Direct Debit payments, establishing efficient methods for future invoice receipt prior to Direct Debits being initiated.
  • Effectively and efficiently resolve queries through telephone and email communication.
  • Build strong relationships with operational centers across the group.
  • Regularly reconcile supplier accounts with statements to identify any outstanding invoices.
  • Collaborate closely with the management accounting team on various tasks.

  • Possess experience in reconciliations and resolving queries promptly and efficiently.
