  • Play a pivotal leadership role across the tertiary education, skills, and research sectors, fostering relationships with government, funded organizations, and industry partners to drive impactful change.
  • Position SFC as the authoritative source of information and insights to guide policy-making and funding decisions.
  • Serve as a role model for the organization's values, promoting a culture of inclusivity, continuous improvement, and employee engagement.
  • Lead organizational change to align with government reform initiatives in post-school education and skills.
  • Act as the Accountable Officer, ensuring responsible management of public funds and demonstrating effective governance.
  • Implement robust performance and risk management frameworks to support SFC's objectives and facilitate comprehensive reporting.

Candidate Profile

  • Knowledge of Education and Research: Strong understanding of the Scottish education landscape and the role of research in driving societal benefits.
  • Commitment to Diversity: A deep personal commitment to advancing diversity and inclusion within the organization and the broader education system.

Benefits
