CNC Turner Setter Job Description

We are seeking an experienced CNC Turner Setter to join our team at Workforce Staffing Ltd. As a CNC Turner Setter, you will be responsible for setting and operating fixed head machines, interpreting drawings and 3D digital files, producing prototypes and small production runs, and maintaining a clean and tidy workstation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Setting and operating fixed head machines
  • Interpreting drawings and 3D digital files
  • Producing prototypes and small production runs
  • Maintaining a clean and tidy workstation
  • Inspecting own work using CMMs and gauges to verify product quality
  • Working with a wide range of materials, including Inconel, titanium, mild steels, brass, aluminium-bronze, bronzes, aluminium, plastics, and super duplex
  • Ability to work under pressure with attention to detail
  • Team Player
  • Flexible
Requirements:
  • Ideal candidate will have apprentice-trained or time-served experience in a precision machining company
  • Strong understanding of Fanuc programs with ability to edit, re-run tools, etc.
  • Able to move offsets
  • Able to prove unproven programs, safely
  • Competent in inspecting own work using CMMs and gauges to verify product quality
  • Conversant with Lynx and Doosan machinery (essential)
  • Multi-axis and sub-spindle
  • Working to tight tolerances
