CNC Machinist Specialist

We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist Specialist to join our team in Coventry. As a CNC Machinist Specialist, you will be responsible for setting and operating fixed head machines, interpreting drawings and 3D digital files, producing prototypes and small production runs, and maintaining clean and tidy stations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Setting and operating fixed head machines
  • Interpreting drawings and 3D digital files
  • Producing prototypes and small production runs
  • Maintaining clean and tidy stations
  • Producing work of a high standard by adhering to quality standards

Requirements:

  • Apprentice trained or time served/equivalent experience in a precision machining company
  • Strong understanding of Fanuc programs with ability to edit, re-run tools, etc.
  • Able to move offsets
  • Able to prove unproven programs, safely
  • Competent in inspecting own work using CMMs and gauges to verify product quality
  • Conversant with Lynx and Doosan machinery (essential)
  • Multi-axis and sub-spindle
  • Working to tight tolerances
  • Experience of working with a wide range of materials
