Compliance and Quality Assurance Specialist – DCS Engineering – Permanent Position – Competitive Salary

  • Are you an experienced professional in Regulatory Affairs with expertise in the Chemicals sector looking to advance your career?
  • Do you possess a strong understanding of Global Regulatory Frameworks and have you applied this knowledge in a regulatory capacity within an industrial or manufacturing setting?
  • Do you have training in ISO9001 and/or ISO14001 auditing?
  • Have you utilized compliance management tools such as IUCLID, CDX, Microsoft SharePoint, and SAP in your previous roles?

We are in search of a dedicated and knowledgeable Compliance and Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at DCS Engineering, a recognized leader in the development of high-performance specialty materials and chemicals.

This essential role involves overseeing and ensuring compliance with all relevant chemical regulatory standards globally.

Requirements:

  • A degree in Engineering, Material Science, Chemistry, Environmental Science, Toxicology, or a related discipline
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a regulatory role with a solid understanding of UK and EU REACH registrations
  • Ability to work on-site at DCS Engineering
  • Expertise in Global Regulatory Frameworks
  • ISO9001 or ISO14001 auditor certification
  • Familiarity with TSCA regulations, FDA/food contact regulations, and compiling Safety Data Sheets (SDS) under CLP and GHS
  • Experience with compliance tracking and reporting tools such as IUCLID, CDX, Microsoft SharePoint, and SAP

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure adherence to safe working practices in line with company health and safety requirements
  • Manage global reporting, notifications, and registrations for both commercial and strategic initiatives
  • Oversee budgetary considerations for compliance activities and contribute to departmental performance indicators
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and conduct both internal and external compliance audits
  • Act as the primary contact for interactions with Only Representatives, Consortia, and SIEFs
  • Evaluate compliance and risks in accordance with company policies and applicable laws
  • Utilize company systems for compliance tracking and reporting
  • Provide internal training and updates on compliance matters and undertake additional responsibilities as required
