Senior Finance Manager for Insurance Sector

Work Arrangement: Hybrid Model: 2-3 Days in Office per Week
We are in search of a seasoned finance leader with a robust understanding of the insurance industry. Our client is eager to find a proactive individual to take charge of its finance division as the Senior Finance Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting and Governance:
- Direct the creation of statutory financial statements and audit documentation.
- Oversee Company Secretarial responsibilities and regulatory submissions.
- Collaborate with external auditors to ensure compliance with both local and international financial regulations.
Tax Management:
- Supervise Insurance Premium Tax (IPT), Value Added Tax (VAT), and Corporate Tax responsibilities.
- Prepare and assess tax filings, ensuring timely compliance with regulatory standards.
Cash Management:
- Foster relationships with banking institutions.
- Manage banking authorizations and approval workflows.
- Work closely with regional and central finance teams to guarantee precise and prompt financial reporting.
Regulatory Adherence:
- Prepare semi-annual and year-end reports for regulatory authorities.
- Contribute to annual financial disclosures and uphold compliance with industry regulations.
Finance Operations:
- Oversee the operations of the finance team, including outsourced functions.
- Ensure compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and promote efficiency enhancements through the adoption of best practices and updated accounting standards.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in finance, particularly within the insurance sector.
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA) with a comprehensive understanding of accounting principles and IFRS standards.
- Familiarity with accounting software such as SAP is a plus.
- Proven experience in leading significant projects and process enhancements is preferred.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel are essential.
