Job Summary
Hays Senior Finance is seeking a highly skilled Tax Accountant to join our team as a VAT Specialist - European Entities. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the compliance of European entities with tax regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit VAT Returns and Corporation Tax Returns for European entities, ensuring timely payments and compliance with deadlines.
- Review and analyze VAT % applied to new products and perform quarterly reviews of all products sold.
- Minimize VAT liabilities and compliance issues through effective tax planning and advisory services.
- Prepare and submit tax-related reporting for US Group Finance and Tax teams.
- Advise the local team on US Tax-related matters impacting local operations and accounting.
- Perform quarterly Local GAAP and US GAAP ETR calculation/FIN48 review.
- Stay ahead of key corporate tax and indirect tax legislation, ensuring the business is fully compliant with the latest regulations.
- Assist with tax compliance of certain intercompany transactions.
- Perform ad-hoc income tax research and tax planning.
- Manage tax audits/queries from tax authorities.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will be a qualified tax accountant or qualified by experience with significant experience in indirect tax across European jurisdictions. You may have corporate tax experience, or be willing to learn and develop your knowledge in this area.
