About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Psychologist to join our Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) team at Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust. As a Clinical Psychologist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality psychological assessments, formulations, and interventions to children and young people experiencing complex and severe mental health problems.
Main Responsibilities
- Provide specialist psychological assessments and interventions to children and young people, including individual and group work, and contribute to the development of clinical care pathways.
- Be part of the Neurodevelopmental Team, contributing to neurodevelopmental assessments and team discussions.
- Work collaboratively with other agencies and services to develop and implement interventions and care plans, ensuring successful transitions between services.
- Supervise and support the development of other psychologists and psychological therapists in the team, including trainee clinical psychologists on placement from the University of Southampton.
- Utilize research skills for audit, service development, and research within the area served by the team/service.

Person Specification
- Post-graduate doctoral level training in applied psychology, including models of psychopathology, clinical psychometrics, two or more distinct psychological therapies, and lifespan developmental psychology.
- Professionally registered as a Practitioner Psychologist with the Health Professions Council (HCPC).
