Transport Operations Manager

Menzies Distribution Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Domestic Transport Manager to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of our domestic transport operations, ensuring that our customers receive their products on time and in full.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement efficient transport plans to meet customer requirements and achieve business objectives.
- Manage a team of transport planners and coordinators to ensure seamless execution of transport operations.
- Collaborate with customers to resolve any issues or concerns related to transport operations.
- Monitor and analyze transport performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement strategies to reduce costs and improve efficiency in transport operations.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant transport regulations and legislation.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in transport management, preferably in a similar industry.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and develop effective solutions.
- Knowledge of transport regulations and legislation, including drivers' hours and tachograph regulations.
