Transport Operations Manager

Menzies Distribution is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Domestic Transport Manager to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of our domestic transport operations, ensuring that our customers receive their products on time and in full.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement efficient transport plans to meet customer requirements and achieve business objectives.
- Manage a team of transport planners and coordinators to ensure seamless execution of transport operations.
- Collaborate with customers to resolve any issues or concerns related to transport operations.
- Monitor and analyze transport performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement strategies to reduce costs and improve efficiency in transport operations.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant transport regulations and legislation.
- Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers and transport agencies.
- Develop and implement training programs to ensure that all team members have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a transport management role, preferably in a similar industry.
- Strong knowledge of transport regulations and legislation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
