Position Overview

Opportunity Summary:

This pivotal role reports directly to the Head of International Employee Relations in the UK. The selected candidate will oversee all employee relations (ER) cases within the UK and select international locations, contributing to strategic initiatives.

The position involves consulting for a leading global pharmaceutical organization, focusing on delivering situational support in Employee Relations. Responsibilities include managing complex employee relations challenges, performance oversight, workplace investigations, and critical incident management.

Key Responsibilities:

The successful applicant will act as a subject matter expert on a diverse array of ER topics, including:

  • Performance management
  • Internal investigations
  • Disciplinary actions and terminations
  • Severance processes
  • Redundancy and consultation procedures

Provide comprehensive advice and support to employees, managers, leaders, and HR colleagues. This includes responding to and investigating complaints related to intricate employment matters, all while working under the guidance of senior Employee Relations management and collaborating with internal and external legal advisors.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • CIPD qualified with 3-5 years of relevant experience in Employee Relations
  • Proficient in employment law through hands-on case management in dynamic, multi-site environments across the UK and Europe
  • Demonstrated leadership and managerial capabilities, with the ability to collaborate, influence, and make informed decisions while keeping all stakeholders informed
  • Experience in operational settings, with a strategic and solution-oriented mindset, consistently exercising discretion and independent judgment when advising HR and business leaders on sensitive ER matters in a fair and compliant manner
