Business Development Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Development Executive to join our dynamic team at Balens Specialist Insurance Brokers. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in driving sustainable growth and profitability for our company.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage a pipeline of opportunities from prospect stage to sale, working closely with the wider Balens team to ensure successful conversion.
- Develop and maintain existing introducer and partner relationships, identifying new business opportunities and delivering innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers.
- Support the expansion of service delivery, collaborating with our Compliance and Agency teams to ensure all regulatory components of relationship management are achieved.
- Be a key member of our Events team, delivering workshops, presentations, networking, and engaging with attendees, exhibitors, and partners.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance lead generation, opportunity conversion, and penetration rates, working collaboratively with the Balens team to identify and address customer concerns.
- Take responsibility for ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, embedding compliance in your work and resolving incidents promptly.
- Proven experience in a sales-focused role, with demonstrated success in lead acquisition and conversion.
- Experience in managing client relationships with multiple stakeholders, track record of implementing successful customer retention and conversion strategies.
- Understanding of commercial insurance, knowledge of performance reporting and KPI management, analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, negotiation and influencing skills.
