Position Overview

Futures is seeking to recruit a Quality Assurance Engineer for a reputable manufacturing organization. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in Fabrication and Welding, providing essential technical guidance and oversight for all related engineering operations.

Key Responsibilities

As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with international and European standards, including:

Your role will involve maintaining Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality standards on-site, ensuring that products received from suppliers meet the required quality benchmarks.

Specific Duties Include:
  • Preparation and submission of welding procedures to clients and inspection authorities.
  • Conducting technical reviews and approvals of supplier welding procedures.
  • Providing strategic leadership for the welding department regarding equipment and processes, including capital expenditure justifications.
  • Participating in product design evaluations and offering expert welding insights.
  • Collaborating with the supply chain to ensure subcontracted fabrications meet quality standards.
  • Acting as the technical authority for the authorization of weld test and conformance certificates.
  • Engaging with suppliers and clients to resolve welding-related issues.
Qualifications and Experience

The successful candidate will have:

  • A solid background in Fabrication and Welding with a comprehensive understanding of welding codes and their interpretation.
  • A qualification in Engineering or a related metallurgical field.
  • Certification in Welding Inspection and NDE competence (preferred).
  • A valid driving license.

This position is ideal for individuals with expertise in Supplier Quality, Welding Engineering, and Quality Assurance within the Fabrication sector.
