The Transpennine Route Upgrade Project is a multi-disciplinary project upgrading the existing railway route between Manchester and Leeds through the Pennines. It is the largest rail and infrastructure project in the north of England.

Your Mission

We are seeking a skilled Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our project team, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with quality requirements and providing expertise to document originators in the formation of Inspection and Test Plans and BIM 360 Field checklists.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Conduct regular inspections and surveillance to ensure compliance with quality requirements and produce reports of findings.
  2. Provide expertise to document originators in the formation of Inspection and Test Plans and BIM 360 Field checklists.
  3. Collaborate with project teams to identify potential quality risks and implement preventive measures.
  4. Maintain accurate records of quality-related activities, including inspection reports, test results, and non-conformance instances.
  5. Support the development of quality-related training materials for alliance-wide dissemination.
  6. Ensure the accuracy and completeness of site quality documentation in alignment with BAM Nuttall's standards.
  7. Collaborate closely with project teams to gather all necessary quality documentation throughout project lifecycles.
  8. Monitor progressive assurance of ITPs by the delivery teams to ensure that checklists and quality verifying records are being created contemporaneously.
  9. Provide training to project teams on quality standards, processes, and tools.
Requirements:
  1. Degree in engineering or a related field, or a formal construction quality qualification.
  2. Proven experience in quality assurance within construction or engineering projects.
  3. Strong understanding of quality management principles, tools, and methodologies.
  4. Proficiency in relevant quality software and tools.
  5. Problem-solving mindset and a proactive approach to quality improvement.
  6. Practitioner Chartered Quality Professional or in progress.
