About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Marketing Effectiveness Consultant to join our team at MediaLab Group. As a key member of our Marketing Effectiveness team, you will be responsible for leading end-to-end Marketing Mix Modelling/econometrics projects, from initial model development to insights generation and data storytelling.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Marketing Mix Modelling/econometrics projects, ensuring high-quality outputs and timely delivery.
- Specialize as an effectiveness consultant, working closely with client teams to develop fit-for-purpose frameworks and address client challenges.
- Develop deep expertise in the sector and serve as the key go-to person for a diverse set of clients and client team planners/buyers.
- Responsible for the development of client presentation material alongside the senior team.
- Lead on business effort and revenue pipeline within assigned client list, identifying new business opportunities, writing proposals, creating thought leadership, and involvement in pitches.
- Innovate, develop, and streamline the automated modelling process, working closely with in-house engineering teams to bring plans to life.
- Act as an ambassador for MediaLab Group, connecting with external and internal stakeholders to deliver value by building a strong reputation in the industry.
Requirements:
- Hands-on experience in delivering media measurement and effectiveness results using Marketing Mix Modelling/econometrics techniques (Min 7 years+).
- Consulting/client problem-solving experience, a solid understanding of how measurement frameworks can help clients with insights that drive business growth.
- Responsible for the line management of other consultants/data scientists.
- Strong working knowledge of advertising, able to work closely with media planners/buyers and align analytical insights to practical application of results.
- Solid experience in handling and analyzing data, willing to use a range of tools/approaches to best answer client challenges.
- Experience in project management throughout delivery stages of using statistical techniques in a commercial environment.
- Significant experience in a marketing, media, or business planning environment.
- A passion for media and marketing, motivated by new channel mediums and related measurement challenges.
Desirable Skills:
- Able to interpret client requirements and deploy commercially relevant analytical insight solutions.
- A proven track record in the successful use of statistical techniques in a commercial environment, with an appreciation of business principles.
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, with the ability to present and explain complex information clearly to people at all levels.
- Task-oriented, with ownership of the steps required to achieve the ultimate client challenge set.
- Curious, yet analytical, able to explore new approaches or data sources to improve results.
- A team player, willing to contribute and integrate with the existing team and skill sets (consultants, engineers, media planners, buying teams, and other vertical specialists).
- Open to a range of toolsets and/or a keen coder, who enjoys being hands-on with the development side of analytics as required (SQL, R/Python, AWS/GCP, or visual tools).
- Model automation and/or system integration experience would be beneficial.
- Experience with the charity sector, and/or financial services would be beneficial given our client set.
