Position Overview

The role of the Client Quantitative Analyst I involves supporting analytical initiatives across various projects within a designated Line of Business. This position plays a crucial role in harnessing databases to extract client and performance data, transforming this data into actionable insights, and presenting these findings to leadership for informed decision-making. The analyst will collaborate with business partners to comprehend, coordinate, and fulfill established priorities while effectively communicating complex data outputs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate data extraction using diverse programming languages such as SQL, SAS, Python, or Spark/Scala, while demonstrating proficiency in both relational and non-relational database systems across hybrid platforms.
  • Integrate data from multiple sources and execute necessary transformations, applying technical, business, and procedural knowledge to derive meaningful insights.
  • Conduct quantitative analyses on customer, transaction, and performance data, guided by queries from business partners, to provide actionable insights for decision-making.
  • Adhere to guidelines established by senior analysts to conduct thorough research and analytics on relevant data sources, ensuring accurate deliverables.
  • Simplify complex topics for both technical and non-technical stakeholders using tools such as PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Tableau.
  • Assist in quality assurance checks on analytical outputs, escalating any discrepancies or issues to leadership.
  • Follow established quality workflows and documentation protocols to maintain standards and ensure business continuity.

Additional Information:

This position is essential for documenting and maintaining data use inventory for the Consumer & Small Business Anti-Money Laundering division, ensuring effective oversight of data governance.

The analyst will collaborate with various teams to understand and evaluate their data, processes, and technology, supporting strategic data initiatives and addressing any deficiencies.

The responsibilities include consulting with stakeholders to gather information on business processes, documenting definitions for processes and data attributes, analyzing information from multiple sources, and providing recommendations for improvements.

The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a proactive approach to analysis, and the ability to work independently while contributing to the team's objectives.
