About the Role

The North West School of Radiology (NWSOR) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to fill the position of Trust Specialty Training Lead (TSTL) for the ST1 Academy Placement. As the named Clinical Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the management and pastoral support for the ST1 Academy Placement, ensuring a high-quality educational experience for trainees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Organize and conduct placement appraisals, support completion of WPBAs, and educational portfolio requirements.
  • Oversee the FRCR Part 1 exam programme to ensure sessions support the preparation for exams, working with the Subspecialty Curriculum Leads, Clinical Lecturers, and Exam Support TPD.
  • Provide pastoral support for ST1 trainees in the Academy, ensuring their well-being and academic success.
  • Oversee educational activities at the Academy, including the development and delivery of teaching materials.
  • Liaise and work with subspecialty curriculum leads, ensuring a cohesive and effective educational programme.
Requirements
  • Consultant in Radiology on the Specialist Register.
  • Membership or Fellowship of The Royal College of Radiologists.
  • Consultant currently working in NHS in North-West England.
  • Minimum 2 years post CCT.
  • Formal educational qualification PGCert/FHEA Accreditation or equivalent educational experience.
