About the Role
Merje Ltd is seeking a highly experienced Senior Prudential Risk Manager to join their team. As a leading international bank, they require a professional with extensive experience in risk management and regulatory compliance to ensure the bank's prudential risk is managed effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the bank's prudential risk management framework to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks to the bank, including market, credit, and operational risks.
- Provide guidance and support to other members of the risk management team and liaise with senior stakeholders across the business.
- Lead on the implementation of Basel 3.1 and bring excellent capital, market, and liquidity risk management expertise.
- Manage the bank's climate risk assessment and ensure that all relevant regulatory requirements are met.
- Develop and maintain effective risk management models, including experience with Expected Credit Loss (ECL) models.
- Collaborate with the risk management team to ensure that all risks are identified, assessed, and mitigated.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in risk management and regulatory compliance, preferably in a banking or financial institution.
- Strong knowledge of capital, market, and liquidity requirements, including Basel 3.1.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively with senior stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and lead on the implementation of regulatory change.
- Strong technical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to analyze complex data and develop effective risk management models.
