Our client is an established independent training provider, operating in the Higher Education space. They have a strong presence in the UK, delivering a range of degree courses in accountancy, business & management in partnership with two large Universities.

We are seeking a skilled Placement Support Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working in a careers services, placement environment, or recruitment services role within further education, higher education, or apprenticeships. A Level 3 IAG qualification is also highly desirable.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing tailored support to students and employers, establishing and maintaining sustainable relationships with employers and industry sectors, and developing placement and professional development opportunities for students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and grow a database of placement providers with suitable opportunities and connect employers with students.
  • Ensure accurate work placement and student records are maintained using the placement tracker and compile reports as needed.
  • Develop online resources to support students undertaking work placement opportunities.
  • Conduct one-to-one meetings with students to prepare them for placements and deliver pre-placement preparation workshops.
  • Support the development of internal employability framework (CREATE) and provide advice to students on CVs and covering letters.
  • Lead on the development of internal placement opportunities for students and work proactively with students to encourage take-up of placements.
  • Facilitate the full recruitment cycle, including advertising opportunities, shortlisting candidates, and providing feedback.
