Job Overview

The primary objective of this internship is to assist in the daily functions of the Client Support Group (CSG) in London, focusing on Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Know Your Customer (KYC) processes during client onboarding. This role ensures compliance with both UK and international regulations, including conducting event-driven reviews and periodic assessments of clients.

This position is situated in London and involves providing support to the Front Office regarding inquiries related to the KYC onboarding procedures, as well as generating Management Information reports concerning CSG activities.

Additionally, the role includes managing daily alerts related to adverse news and screenings.

Key Responsibilities:

Under the guidance of senior CSG personnel, you will be tasked with the following duties and will need to escalate any issues appropriately:

Conducting daily oversight, including the resolution of daily screening alerts using the WorldCheck tool. Assisting in KYC evaluations for new client onboarding and related activities, including preparing PEP memos. Screening new clients and their associated entities, reporting any positive findings to senior CSG members and the London Financial Crime Compliance team. Maintaining and generating various management reports, including Key Performance Indicators and production statistics, along with managing CSG databases. Supporting contract managers in the onboarding process and periodic reviews of UK suppliers.

You will be responsible for producing:

KYC and KYB analyses for low and medium-risk clients. Key Performance Indicators and other management information. Managing and addressing daily adverse news alerts. Assisting business lines in the vetting of suppliers.

Review Responsibilities:

You will also be responsible for reviewing KYC and KYS requests.

Required Skills/Qualifications/Experience:


• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, along with strong relationship-building abilities.

• Proficient in technology, including AI and basic coding.

• Strong command of Microsoft Office applications; advanced skills in Excel, Power BI, and VBA are advantageous.

• Proactive, self-sufficient, dynamic, and detail-oriented.

• Previous experience in Banking or Financial Markets is preferred.
