Halifax Estates manages a variety of commercial properties, including a local pub and several other estates.
The ideal candidate will support the Facilities Manager in overseeing all maintenance activities and enhancement initiatives across the diverse property portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise repairs and enhancement projects across the properties, including contractor work
- Ensure project delivery within set timelines and budget constraints
- Collaborate with stakeholders, local authorities, and relevant parties to secure necessary external approvals for specific initiatives
- Provide regular updates to the property owners and Management Team regarding project progress
Candidate Profile:
- Proven experience managing various building types, from contemporary agricultural structures to heritage sites
- Track record of delivering projects punctually and within budget
- Adaptable approach to work hours and responsibilities
- Proficient in IT, particularly Excel, Word, Outlook, and ideally CAD
- Accommodation is included as part of the benefits package, along with a company vehicle.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to enroll in the company pension scheme, with the employer contributing 6% of the salary.
Working hours are from 9 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday, with a one-hour lunch break.
Some flexibility may be required during peak periods, and the candidate should be prepared to respond to emergency situations outside of regular hours.
Annual leave entitlement is 29 working days, inclusive of Public Holidays.
The selected candidate will be expected to start as soon as feasible.
Roles such as Clerk of Works, Site Manager, Project Manager, Architectural Technician, Building Surveyor, Property Manager, and Construction Manager will also be considered for this position.
