Job Title: Children's Community Learning Disability Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Learning Disability Nurse to join our dynamic team in the Child and Adolescent Learning Disability Service (CALDS). The successful candidate will work with children and young people with a learning disability, providing a range of assessments and interventions in a community setting.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in learning disability nursing, with experience of working with children and young people with complex needs. They will be able to work autonomously and as part of a multi-disciplinary team, providing person-centred care and developing Positive Behavioural Support Plans.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a caseload of children and adolescents with learning disabilities
  • Undertake clinical assessments and develop person-centred care plans
  • Develop and contribute to the development of Positive Behavioural Support Plans
  • Work as part of the CALDS and wider multi-disciplinary team to provide intervention programmes
Requirements:
  • Registered learning disability nurse with current NMC registration
  • Experience of working in a community learning disability setting
