Position Overview
We are seeking a qualified or experienced cost consultant to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will engage in a comprehensive range of professional and project-related cost consultancy services, catering to both private and public sector clients.
Key Responsibilities
The selected individual will:
- Contribute to the delivery of projects and professional assignments from initiation through to completion.
- Ensure effective communication channels are maintained to facilitate the successful execution of projects, collaborating with other managers to uphold financial integrity.
- Assist in managing client and project teams to provide cost consultancy services efficiently and profitably.
- Conduct site visits to perform assessments, engage with contractors, clients, and other stakeholders as necessary to ensure project success.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A degree in quantity surveying or a related field.
- Strong technical writing and communication abilities.
- Proficiency in relevant software applications, including AutoCAD and NBS.
- Experience in sectors such as higher education, local government, and healthcare is advantageous.
- Established relationships with both private and public sector clients.
- Well-honed skills in project management, surveys, and maintenance.
- A personable and diplomatic approach when interacting with colleagues and clients.
- Competence in IT tools including MS Project, Outlook, Word, and Excel.
