We are currently seeking a cost consultant / senior cost consultant to join our Leeds office. The successful candidate will support project leaders in generating a high standard of service delivery, achieving successful outcomes for our clients, capturing, and sharing knowledge across projects, enhancing our culture of innovation, and reinforcing our reputation as a preferred service provider working across a range of projects such as large commercial new builds for blue-chip clients, private residential, towers, and national government frameworks.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining effective communication to ensure all information is available for the successful completion of projects; liaising with other managers to ensure efficient financial control
  • Undertaking commercial management services with limited supervision
  • Providing support to the team leader/service leaders in cost management of projects
  • BSc in quantity surveying or equivalent
  • Private commercial sector experience - ideally experience gained from some of the following: offices, residential, hospitality, major projects, fit-out, and refurb
  • Expert level Excel user
  • Proficient in CostX or other Cost Planning software
  • Sustainability and Data Skills i.e. carbon assessment and Power BI
  • Contract administration skills

Pre and post-contract experience

Key skills include:

  • Good technical writing, client-facing, and communication skills
  • A team player with a 'can-do' attitude, outgoing, polite, patient, diplomatic, personable, respectful, and flexible
