Job Responsibilities
- Repair Services: Execute a comprehensive range of bicycle repairs, including brake adjustments, gear tuning, wheel alignment, drivetrain upkeep, and suspension servicing. Accurately diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues.
- Bicycle Assembly: Assemble new bicycles following manufacturer specifications and store protocols, ensuring they are safe and ready for sale.
- Customer Consultations: Engage with customers to evaluate their bicycle repair and maintenance requirements. Offer recommendations and provide cost estimates for services.
- Parts Selection: Assist customers in choosing suitable parts, accessories, and upgrades for their bicycles.
- Safety Checks: Perform safety inspections on bicycles to identify and rectify potential safety concerns.
- Quality Assurance: Guarantee that all repaired bicycles comply with the highest quality standards and safety regulations.
- Workshop Management: Maintain an organized and efficient workshop, including overseeing the inventory of spare parts and tools.
- Customer Interaction: Deliver outstanding customer service by explaining repair processes, addressing inquiries, and providing maintenance advice.
Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in bicycle mechanics, with the ability to diagnose and repair various bicycle types and components.
- Prior experience as a bicycle mechanic is highly advantageous.
- Familiarity with different bicycle brands, models, and components.
- Meticulous attention to detail and a dedication to quality workmanship.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Understanding of safety standards and practices related to bicycle repairs.
- Willingness to stay informed about the latest advancements in bicycle technology and repair methods.
Work is primarily conducted in a workshop environment.
May require prolonged standing and lifting of heavy items.
Flexible working hours, including weekends and evenings, may be necessary based on operational needs and customer demand.
