Physiotherapist - Living with and Beyond Cancer

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Band 6 Physiotherapist to join our Living with and Beyond Cancer (LWBC) service at the Royal Devon and Exeter NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing clinical expertise to patients attending the LWBC service, delivered across our eastern and northern hospital sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess patients and implement tailored treatment plans to optimize their physical function and reduce symptom burden.
- Provide respiratory treatment and advice to patients with cancer-related respiratory issues.
- Support patients in one-to-one and group settings, with a focus on peer support and education.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in both acute and community settings to ensure seamless care transitions.
- Develop and maintain relationships with community services, third sector organizations, and local support groups to enhance patient care.
- Contribute to the development of the LWBC service, including the design and implementation of new programs and initiatives.
Requirements
- Band 6 Physiotherapist with experience in cancer services and a strong understanding of the LWBC model.
- Excellent clinical skills and ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Ability to drive and have access to a road-worthy vehicle.
