Senior Biomedical Scientist Role

Nuffield Health | Pathology Division

Contract Type: Fixed Term | Work Schedule: Full-Time (37.5 Hours)

Salary: £45,000 (Dependent on Experience)

As a Senior Biomedical Scientist within our Pathology Division, you will possess the necessary qualifications and laboratory expertise in multidisciplinary biomedical science. A solid understanding of various analytical instruments across multiple techniques is essential. Additionally, you should be an effective communicator and a collaborative team member who aligns with our commitment to quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality pathology services and participate in the on-call service during off-hours.
  • Conduct biomedical diagnostic testing, including interpretation and reporting, along with quality control measures.
  • Assist in the validation and evaluation of new equipment and the development of innovative diagnostic procedures, contributing to our mission of delivering the best possible patient experience.

Qualifications Required:

  • HCPC registration is mandatory.
  • MSc in Biomedical Science (or equivalent qualification/experience).
  • Extensive laboratory experience in multidisciplinary biomedical science, with a strong focus on Haematology/Blood Transfusion.
  • Proficient knowledge of various analytical instruments across a range of multidisciplinary techniques.
  • Ability to appreciate the importance of maintaining excellent customer relationships and providing superior service in a modern pathology environment.
  • A highly motivated and enthusiastic individual capable of managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.
