Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Marketing Manager to spearhead the formulation and implementation of comprehensive marketing strategies targeting both B2B and B2C audiences. This role involves planning, crafting, and executing high-impact campaigns across diverse channels, including email, social media, webinars, podcasts, and blogs.

In collaboration with our marketing, product, sales, creative, and strategy teams, you will gain insights into our customers' needs and objectives, creating compelling content that educates, inspires, and drives conversions. Utilizing data analytics, you will assess campaign performance and enhance audience engagement, customer acquisition, and retention.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop innovative marketing strategies to enhance audience engagement and conversion rates across B2C and B2B sectors, collaborating with the creative studio team to produce creative briefs.
  • Oversee the marketing calendar, coordinating the launch of new courses, product features, and ongoing promotional activities.
  • Participate in course productions, collaborating with production teams and talent to generate engaging marketing materials.
  • Contribute to the development of BBC Maestro's brand identity and voice across all marketing channels, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines.
  • Map customer journeys to identify drivers of acquisition and engagement, optimizing channels based on data analysis and testing methodologies.
  • Conduct strategic A/B testing to enhance campaign performance.
  • Collaborate with product managers and performance marketing leads to optimize on-site conversion, analyzing customer journeys and implementing experiments to improve lifetime value.
  • Work alongside sales, strategy, and product teams to position our brand as a credible learning provider for organizations.
  • Manage external consultants, including PR and eCRM, ensuring effective communication and quality outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated success in driving customer acquisition and retention through impactful marketing campaigns, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in premium brands.
  • Expertise in full-funnel digital marketing for both B2C and B2B markets, preferably within the media or e-learning sectors.
  • Experience in marketing subscription products/services, with a clear understanding of customer segments and sales journeys.
  • A robust portfolio showcasing your ability to create engaging marketing strategies across various audiences and channels.
  • Exceptional copywriting and editing skills, with a focus on UX copy that drives conversions while maintaining brand voice consistency.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of current marketing practices, trends, tools, channels, and metrics.
  • Experience in audience research, competitor analysis, and market trend mapping.
  • Proven ability to facilitate workshops, present insights, and deliver actionable recommendations.
  • Data-driven mindset with experience in running A/B tests to gain insights into customer behavior and business outcomes.
  • A genuine passion for learning and a curiosity for emerging technologies and trends.
  • Strong work ethic, capable of delivering quality results in a fast-paced, performance-oriented environment.
  • A collaborative team player who fosters a positive work atmosphere.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position is commensurate with experience and location, with ranges as follows:

  • L4: £50-65k
  • L5: £60-80k
  • L6: £75-110k

Additional benefits include 25 days of holiday plus public holidays, enhanced parental leave, flexible working arrangements, and private medical coverage.
